We welcomed Ofsted to Scissett CE Academy on Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd April 2025. Thank you to everyone who wished us good luck and provided feedback via the parent survey. We are incredibly pleased with the judgements and feedback and we are delighted to share the final report with you.

In recognition of everything we do, the inspectors have graded all areas: quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and early years provision as 'Outstanding'. This is a whole school community celebration of the dedicated work of our children, staff team, governors and parents.

When reading the report, we hope you agree with the number of positive comments that the inspectors have made. Here are just a few of their quotes:-

Pupils live out the school's values, including love, respect and kindness, in all they do. They thrive and flourish through the remarkable environment of nurture and care that exists within the school.
From pupils' earliest days at school, no stone is left unturned in the pursuit of excellence.
Pupils' spiritual and moral development is a high priority. Their attitude towards others of different, race, religion of sexuality are exemplary.
The provision for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) has noticable impact ... appropriate and highly effective support is in place to allow all pupils to succeed.
Pupils love to come to school ... The school's vision of 'excellence in learning' meets with no barriers. Attendance is high.
The school ensures that pupils' wider development is at the core of all that happens ... Pupils develop into mature, respectful and socially aware individuals who are deeply committed to the school and the wider community.

The information contained in the report is a result of years of hard work and commitment by our children and staff, parents/carers and the local community who also play a pivotal role in our success. THANK YOU.

Although we are extremely proud of our report we will continue to put our children, staff and the local community at the heart of everything we do to ensure we continue to improve.
